Doğrudan etkili solenoid kontrollü vana olan Tip 2873 kontrol döngülerinde ayar ünitesi olarak kullanılır. Bir elastomerik yuva sızdırmazlık elemanı sayesinde vana DN özel nominal basıncına kadar sızdırmaz biçimde kapanır (entegre kapanma fonksiyonu). Vananın pistonu; olağanüstü ayar karakteristiklerine yol açacak şekilde sürtünmesiz olarak birleştirilmiştir. Bu vana özellikle kontrol görevleri (yüksek kontrol aralığı, kuru gazlar, vs.) için uygundur.
